Developing and delivering workshops for schools
The integration of digital pedagogy into the daily practice of VET teachers cannot happen without a related vision, an intention from the school management. Having finished the Digital Menu Card online training activity (IO2) and having the development needs identified (in O1), educational experts, VET school leadership and teachers created specific action plans for their own school. As the next step, teachers of the five partner schools participated in 73 on-site workshops lasting for 120 minutes each in accordance with the action plan prepared earlier. Participants: teachers from the 5 partner schools who have completed the online training on the DMC platform (total number of registrations is 744).
Implementation
Creation of specific action plans for schools based on the Needs Analysis (IO1) and the Digital Menu Card (IO2)
Having finished the Digital Menu Card online training activity and having the development needs identified (in O1), educational experts, VET school leadership and teachers created together specific action plans, each team is for their own school.
Results:
- 5 action plans tailored for the specific digital improvement needs of the partner VET schools.
Delivering workshops to teachers
Educational expert partners created the script and syllabus for the interactive workshops, specific for each partner school in a standard template agreed by project partners, based on the action plans and built on the Digital Menu Card online learning activity.
Experts guided the workshops and presented best practices to serve as inspiration for the teachers. They involved the would-be school mentors more intensively, asking them to deliver parts of the workshops, or even deliver some on their own.
Results:
- 73 workshops implemented in the partner schools each lasting for 120 minutes
- more than 10 teachers participating from each school
- A great number of presentations and training material developed by experts and school mentors
Community learning content development
Community learning content development got started in the partner schools parallel to the workshops the syllabus of which contained an assignment for teachers to create digital content to be used in their own classroom lessons (in O4). A new repository was developed on DMC for sharing the digital learning content created by teachers.
Results:
- At least 30 digital learning content developed by the teachers during the workshops
- A new section developed on DMC to share digital learning content by teachers
